So You Wanna Be a Baller?!

Here is all (or most) of the information you need to know about our league. If can come up with any further questions that are still unanswered, then don't hesitate to contact us

When are the games?

The League runs from October to March.

Games last for 7 innings, which usually runs for 1.5 hours from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on weekdays and 4pm to 5:30pm on weekends

Games days to be announced in July. If you have a preference of game days, please email us and let us know so we can accommodate!

What if I do not have a team to join with?

You are in luck! The whole point of the Sydney Sport & Social Club is to play sports and ALSO be social! Its a great way to meet new people, so even if you do not have a team to join, we will find you a place on a team along with other individual players!

What if I am not any good?

The good news is, there is no experience required!

There is no level of skill needed to play in the Co-Recreational League. The only requirements are that you have fun and that you play in a sportsmanlike manner, of course!

For those of you who are already excellent ball players, we are planning to have a division of leagues based on skill when facilities and team numbers permit. But for now, it is all about coming out, having fun, and meeting new people!

What are the costs?

See Registration Fees

Registration fees are due approximately 2 weeks before the season begins. Late registration fees will apply for those who register or pay after the registration due date.

Where are the games?

The games are held at the Centennial Parklands Moore Park Baseball Fields off of Roberston Road.

The fields are accessible by bus at the Anzac Parade and Lang Road stop, just past the Entertainment Quarter.

Roadside parking is available on Robertson Road.

Can I play on the same team as my friend?

Of Course!! If there is a specific person(s) you would like to play with, we can find a spot for you on the same team.

On each of your registration forms, make sure all parties request to be on one anothers team.

If there are enough of you that would like to play together, you can start your own team!

What do I need to play?

You will need a baseball mitt. If you don't have one, it's not the end of the world - players often borrow one from the other team if needed, however it is recommended that you have your own.

You can rent bats, bases and helmets for the season. See prices

Deposits will be refunded once all equipment is returned at the end of the season.

The league will provide 3 softballs for the game, but it is recommended you buy your own so you have enough to practice with before the game!

When you join a team, your captain will let you know what to wear as part of the team uniform.

I'm keen! How do I join?

Easy! Register as a team or an individual here
